About

Abhay founded Bidgely in 2010 to leverage data to transform the utility industry. As CEO, he has led Bidgely from concept to working with more than 25 utilities across 10 countries on a software AI platform that personalizes consumer engagement, modernizes the grid for new loads like EVs and PVs, and creates new revenue from non-kWh products. The platform's data analytics extract appliance signatures from Smart Meter data using pattern recognition and machine learning.

Before Bidgely, Abhay was Director of Product Management at Grid Net (Smart Grid devices) and held Product Marketing, Product Management, and Business Development roles at Echelon Corporation. Earlier he was a Senior Staff Design Engineer at Broadcom and spent nearly seven years at Sun Microsystems as a Hardware Engineering Manager and Designer on the UltraSPARC V microprocessor. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi, an MSEE from USC, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
