About
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is the Government of India’s flagship initiative for building a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across schools, universities, start-ups, incubators and communities.
Established under NITI Aayog in 2016, AIM supports innovators at different stages of their journey, from introducing students to hands-on problem-solving through Atal Tinkering Labs, to helping start-ups and community innovators develop, test and scale new solutions.
Its major programmes include Atal Tinkering Labs, Atal Incubation Centres, Atal Community Innovation Centres, Atal New India Challenges and ARISE-ANIC, alongside mentoring, capacity-building, vernacular innovation and international collaboration initiatives.
Through partnerships with government, industry, academia and global organisations, AIM works to make innovation more accessible, inclusive and impact-driven across India.
